AYSO Soccer or the American Youth Soccer Organization is a nationwide non-profit organization whose main purpose is to give soccer education and instructions for children between the ages of 4 and 19 in all fifty states and certain territories in United States.

AYSO is mostly operated at regional levels by volunteer teams, administrators, coaches and referees, whose children or little loved ones are the youth they are coaching. 50 paid employees consists the AYSO National Support and Training Center (NSTC), based in Hawthorne, California which grant programs for instruction of coaches and referees and child protection education to AYSO Volunteers. It was interesting to read recent media reports in such prominent outlets as Bloomberg.com and the Wall Street Journal about the FDA’s plans to set guidelines for the kinds of literature drug makers can use to support the off-label use of FDA-approved drugs. Originally, the FDA stipulated that drug manufacturers could disseminate information on unapproved, off-label uses of FDA-approved products, under Section 401 of the Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act that expired on Sept. 30, 2006.
